Hydrocarbon Structure and Chemistry: Aromatics
نویسنده
چکیده
Hydrocarbons are organic compounds consisting of C-C and C-H bonds. Carbon has a valence of four and thus requires four electrons or bonds to complete its octet in the neutral state. Hydrogen has a valence of one and thus requires a single electron or bond to complete its "duet" in the neutral state. Thus in hydrocarbons carbon can form neutral bonding arrangements by forming single bonds with hydrogen and single, double or triple bonds with other carbons (or other atoms). The nature of the carbon-carbon bonding arrangements in hydrocarbons is the basis for sub-classification of these compounds as alkanes, alkenes, alkynes or aromatics. The aromatic hydrocarbons are the subject of this tutorial.Hydrocarbons (Alkanes, Alkenes, Alkynes and Aromatics)

A Study of Catalytic Performance of Co3O4 and Cu-Co Nano Metal Oxides in Combustion of Aromatics
Two Cu-Co and Co3O4 oxides were synthesized by the conventional sol-gel auto-combustion and their physical-chemical properties were characterized by XRD, FTIR, SEM, TPR and XPS. The XRD results indicated that copper-cobalt oxide appeared in a mixture form of Cu0.15Co2.85O4 spinel and CuO phases, whereas the cobalt oxide exhibited in the pure form of Co3O4 spinel. The FTIR approved the formation...

An experimental and numerical investigation of prevaporized n-heptane nitrogen-diluted nonpremixed flames is reported. The major objective is to provide well-resolved experimental data regarding the structure and emission characteristics of these flames, including profiles of major species (N2, O2, C7H16, CO2, CO, H2), hydrocarbon intermediates (CH4, C2H4, C2H2, C3Hx), and soot precursors (C6H6...

In the combination of 5-fluorophenyl-1, 3, 7, 9-tetra methylpyrido [2, 3, d, d, 5, 6 dipyrimidine -2, 4, 6, and 8 tetron, there are 4 rings, respectively, ring that is attached to the halogen ring A and, respectively, a ring The lower and the right to the left of the ring A are called C, B, and D. Calculations and studies show that the amount of aromatics in halogen-ring A in all cases has the ...
